Pennies for PAWS!

Pennies for PAWS is fundraiser for school-aged children designed to bring Humane Education into school classrooms. We encourage area schools/youth groups to add Pennies for PAWS to their yearly fundraising schedule and help raise money for field trips to our center and raise awareness of homeless animals, educate children, and make a difference in our community one penny at a time. The fundraiser is a great way for schools to provide payment for fieldtrip cost and the remaining donations presented to the center for the homeless pets in our care. It is easy to sign-up and rewarding to participate.

Pennies for PAWS is an important youth-led fundraiser that teaches charitable and educational lessons. Teaching the importance of being humane, environmentally conscious citizens is a worthwhile and rewarding task. This is often the first experience for many children in volunteering or giving to charity. By collecting spare pennies, nickels, and dimes, they learn that even the most humble of gestures will make a huge difference in their community. In the past, entire schools participated, individual grade levels, or even an individual classroom and/or club. The level of participation can be as large or small as you wish.

To assist with the educational aspect of Pennies for PAWS, related lesson plans promoting character, responsibility, math, and language arts are available and can be emailed to your school representative.
