9/9/15 Pets of the Week

Hailey, Dyson, October, Julius, Candy, Snow

Hailey

Hi there. My name is Hailey and I’m a Labrador/Boxer Blend. I was dropped off at PVAC all the way back in May of 2015. I was medically and behaviorally evaluated the same day I was admitted. It took a while for me to hit adoptions because at that time I was only 3 months old and there is a lot of observing us to make sure we are healthy enough for adoptions. I patiently waited and it paid off. I was eventually moved into playgroups where I got to run around a play with the bigger boys and girls here. I played so well that I was immediately moved into adoptions to have my chance at finding a forever home. After about a month and a half I was adopted out to a young man who was head over heels in love with me. While I was in his care, he took me to get spayed and just loved me and showed me off to all his friends. I thought this was it, I found my new family. He taught me how to play with a ball and we were working on me being potty-trained. Then one day, out of nowhere Animal Control picked me up with all my papers and when I realized where they had taken me, I couldn’t believe it. What I had thought was my forever family had signed me over in hopes I would find another forever home. I am not too sure why they returned me as I was nothing but loving and loyal. I guess sometimes it just doesn’t work out. I pray this time I will find that special someone who is willing to take me in and keep me forever and ever as that is all I ever wanted in life.

DysonHidey ho there folks. My name is Dyson and I’m a 1 year old, male, Terrier Blend. I am a super loving boy who would want nothing more than to go home with you today. I was actually almost adopted the other day by two gentlemen who just fell in love with me at first sight. They were just a little nervous because they already have an 11 year old Poodle who just doesn’t seem to do well with others. So they decided to bring him by to visit with me and I must say, I thought we did great together. He did try to correct me when I jumped up on him to play since I am much younger than he is, and I got it. I backed off and didn’t try to jump up on him again. When his owners would play with me and let me lick them to show how happy I was that I may be going home with them, their poodle didn’t seem to mind. I thought everything was going my way. They took both of us walking side by side and we did great. No pulling or fighting, almost as though we had been a family for a lifetime already. So when it was time to start the paperwork, they decided to wait. They were nervous about if they were to leave us home alone together that something bad may happen to me. Not purposely, but because their baby had been the only one for so long that they just didn’t want any jealousy to arise. That’s ok with me because they do come and visit me daily and I know they would be thrilled if I were to find my forever home today.

OctoberHello again. You may remember me because this isn’t the first time I made it into the paper. I was actually highlighted back in August with my brother Price. Fortunately for him, he got adopted to a loving family. If you aren’t familiar with me let me introduce myself. My name is October and I’m 3 month old, female, Terrier Blend. Some say I may have a little Chihuahua and others say I have some Shepherd blended in my blood line. As far as what breed I am, does it really matter? What I am is a small, cute, playful, loving girl who will jump up on my kennel door and jump around hoping that you will notice me. I have also made appearances on our Facebook page while I was being highlighted at Petsmart in Edinburg. Either way, it is starting to get lonely here without my brother and I dream every night about it being my day that I get adopted into a great loving family. What better way to end your day than coming by to visit with all of us here at PVAC and adopting one of us today.

JuliusAre you looking for a handsome man to greet you at the door every day when you come home? Or are you looking for someone to cuddle with and watch a good flick on the television or maybe take a nap with? Well my name is Julius and I would be exactly that man you’re looking for. I am a 3 year old, neutered, Domestic Shorthair Blend. It will be very hard to miss me when you come for a visit. I will be the very vocal boy sitting at the door waiting for you to come in and say hi. I pretty much get along with everyone I meet, whether it is another cat, kitten, or even human. I cannot say much about how I do with dogs because we just don’t get introduced to them over here. Which honestly, is quite fine with me that we don’t meet. So what are you waiting for? Stop searching for the perfect man because as I mentioned before, here I am just waiting on you.

CandyWho out there doesn’t love candy? Well that is a relief that you all love it, because my name is Candy and I am sure to be the sweetest thing out there. I’m a 3 month old, female, Domestic Shorthair Blend who is sure to be a big treat when adopted. I enjoy playing, even though being in this kennel alone I don’t have much playtime. I fantasize all the time about having a home to be able to run around in and just be the silly kitty that I am meant to be. Other cats in the house? No problem, it would just add to all the fun I would have. Oh my goodness, please be sure to fill out an application when you come to meet me. This way my adoption counselors will have no problem taking me out of my kennel so that we may visit. Ask to go into the room next door so we could actually play for a bit. I just can’t wait. Hope to see you soon.

SnowWhat is white, super soft and cuddly and you just wouldn’t want to put back after being introduced? Give up? Well it’s me. My name is Snow and I’m a 3 month old, neutered, Domestic Shorthair Blend. You’re probably thinking of bitter coldness when you think of snow, but that is just the opposite of me. I am warm, loving, playful and just looking for someone to share all my goodness with. The only thing snow and I may have in common is that I may just melt in your arms when your holding me tightly. I was actually brought in with 6 of my siblings. Some of them have been adopted and the other few are still here waiting patiently with me to go home and start the life we all want. We want to find comfort in your arms and in return we will love you unconditionally for the rest of our lives. Be sure to ask about me and all my brothers and sisters who are still here waiting for their happy ending.adopt dont shopAdoption fees include first series of shots; spay/neuter operation, microchip, and a month of pet insurance.  For more information on adopting Hailey, Dyson, October, Julius, Candy, Snow or any of our other adoptable pets, visit the Palm Valley Animal Center at 2501 W.
